DIVIDEND ATLAS / TERMS
Terms of Use
These terms explain the conditions for using Dividend Atlas at dividendcalculator.me. They cover the calculator, explanatory content, saved scenarios, shared links and exported results. Please read them together with the Privacy Policy before relying on the service.
1. The service and its operator
Dividend Atlas is the name used for this independently operated website. “We,” “us” and “our” refer to the website operator; “you” refers to the person using the service. Questions about these terms can be sent to websiteaftersales@gmail.com.
The current calculator is free to use and requires no account, subscription or payment details. It helps you explore hypothetical dividend income, reinvestment, regular contributions and related assumptions. It does not execute transactions, hold money, manage assets or connect to a brokerage account.
These terms state the conditions on which the service is offered. If you do not agree to those conditions, do not use the service. Nothing in this wording replaces any agreement process or disclosure that applicable law requires, or takes away a right that cannot lawfully be limited.
2. Education, not a financial recommendation
The calculator and accompanying explanations are general educational information. They are not personalized investment, financial, tax, accounting or legal advice. We do not assess your objectives, financial situation, tolerance for loss, tax residence or suitability for a security. Using the website or contacting support does not create an investment-advisory, brokerage or fiduciary relationship.
A fund name or ticker used as an example does not recommend buying, selling or holding that security and does not imply an affiliation with its issuer. A hypothetical projection is not a forecast of what that security will earn. Default values are examples, not verified market data.
Investments can lose value, and distributions can change, stop or include components other than ordinary dividends. A high assumed yield does not establish that an investment is safe or sustainable. Make decisions using appropriate records and, when needed, advice from a qualified professional familiar with your circumstances.
3. What the calculator assumes
The calculation depends on the values you supply. You are responsible for choosing consistent units, a suitable payment frequency and assumptions that make sense for the scenario. The interface checks supported numeric ranges; passing those checks does not mean an assumption is realistic or recommended.
Manual data and a simplified holding
The current service does not fetch live ETF prices, dividend histories, distribution schedules or account balances. It models one holding, or a portfolio treated as one holding with common assumptions. It is not an account valuation, historical backtest or security-specific distribution forecast.
Payment and reinvestment timing
Payments follow the selected annual, semiannual, quarterly or monthly schedule. A simplified flat tax is deducted from each modeled dividend before reinvestment. With reinvestment enabled, the remaining payment buys fractional shares at the modeled price. Monthly contributions buy shares after any dividend payment for that month. Real brokerage schedules, eligibility dates, execution prices and rounding may differ.
Growth, cash and purchasing power
Price growth changes the modeled share price monthly. Dividend growth changes the annual dividend per share at yearly boundaries. They are separate assumptions: an increase in price does not automatically increase the dividend. Dividends taken as cash earn no interest in the model. Inflation adjusts the purchasing power of the final total; it does not predict future inflation.
Items the model leaves out
The calculator does not model transaction costs, fund expenses as separate charges, capital gains tax, tax brackets, allowances, qualified-dividend rules, withholding treaties, currency conversion, corporate actions, or ex-dividend price adjustments. It does not distinguish every type of ETF distribution, such as return of capital or capital-gain distributions. A single assumed tax rate is not a tax return calculation.
The calculation guide explains the current method and examples. Technical limits prevent unsupported inputs and some excessive results, but they cannot identify every incorrect assumption or software defect.
4. Understanding and checking results
Projected portfolio value, cash collected, total wealth, annual dividends and income run rate describe different quantities. Reinvested dividends are already included in portfolio value and must not be added again. A monthly income figure may be an annualized average rather than an actual monthly payment.
The income-goal feature estimates the capital needed at the entered current yield and simplified tax rate. It does not calculate the time needed to save that capital or guarantee that an investment will continue paying that yield. When reinvestment is on, modeled dividend income buys shares rather than becoming spendable cash.
Results use numerical calculations and display rounding. A sum of rounded figures may differ slightly from a total calculated before rounding. Browser behavior, unsupported inputs, code changes or defects can also affect an output. Compare the assumptions as well as the displayed totals when reviewing two scenarios.
Check significant results independently before using them in an investment, budget, publication or tax decision. If you find an apparent error, send the inputs, expected result and observed result to our contact email. We can investigate the method, but support does not provide personalized financial advice.
5. Saved plans, links and exports
Up to three named plans can be saved in the current browser. Remembering the latest valid inputs is enabled by default and can be turned off under Save & compare. Saved plans are not a cloud account or a guaranteed backup. Clearing site data, changing browsers or devices, private-browsing behavior and browser storage limits may remove or prevent access to them.
A scenario link contains the assumptions necessary to reproduce a calculation. Anyone receiving the complete link can read them. Links have no password, expiry or revocation mechanism. Do not treat a link as confidential merely because its data looks encoded. Deleting your saved plan does not delete someone else’s copy of a link.
CSV files are generated locally. Keep a dated copy of the assumptions and output if you need a record, and check exported values before importing them into another system. A CSV is not an official brokerage statement, proof of performance or tax document. Files you share or upload are subject to the destination service’s rules.
Model changes may affect results produced from an older link or saved scenario, and future versions may be unable to read an earlier format. Keeping an export can preserve the figures you reviewed at the time, although it does not turn them into a guarantee.
6. Permitted use and misuse
You may use the publicly available calculator for lawful personal, educational or internal planning. You may share your own scenario links and outputs, provided you describe them accurately as estimates based on assumptions and comply with any duties that apply to your own use.
You must not:
- Use the service to mislead others, fabricate a guaranteed return or present a projection as an actual verified investment record.
- Impersonate the operator, a fund issuer or another person, or suggest an endorsement that has not been given.
- Attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, exploit a vulnerability, or interfere with other visitors’ use of the service.
- Send abusive automated traffic, evade access restrictions or use the site in a way that materially disrupts its operation.
- Send another person’s confidential information without authority, or use support correspondence for unlawful or abusive conduct.
Ordinary links and respectful discovery of public pages are not prohibited by these terms. There is currently no public calculation API or service-level commitment for automated integrations. Contact us before relying on the website for a high-volume or essential workflow.
7. Website content, branding and feedback
Your own input data remains yours. These terms do not transfer ownership of it to us. You may retain and share the calculation output you generate, with the assumptions and limitations needed to avoid misleading a reader.
The website’s original text, layout, graphics, branding and code may be protected by intellectual-property rights. Public access is not a blanket license to republish the whole website, redistribute its software or use its logo as your own. Statutory rights, fair use and any separate license that applies to particular material are unaffected. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.
You may send suggestions or reproducible bug reports. By sending feedback, you permit us to review it and use its ideas to improve the service without an obligation to pay for the suggestion. This does not grant permission to publish your personal correspondence or identifying details as a testimonial. Support messages are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. External references and services
Links to educational sources are provided for context. We do not control the availability, accuracy or policies of external websites. Linking to a regulator’s educational material does not mean the regulator has reviewed, approved or endorsed this calculator.
Your browser, email service, device backup and any platform you use to share results operate under their own terms. We are not responsible for actions taken by an independent recipient of a link or file merely because it was created using this calculator.
9. Availability and changes to the service
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. There is no guarantee of uninterrupted access, a fixed response time or permanent retention of a feature. Maintenance, provider outages, browser changes or security issues may interrupt access.
We may correct errors, revise the model, adjust supported limits, change features or discontinue parts of the service. Access may be restricted when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security problems or legal obligations. Any exercise of these rights remains subject to applicable law.
The current service is free. These terms do not authorize charging you later, starting a subscription or taking payment without a separate disclosure and any required agreement. There is no payment method on file through this calculator.
10. Warranties and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website, content and calculations are provided “as is” without a promise of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or a particular investment outcome. We do not guarantee that every error will be detected or corrected, or that an estimate will match a broker’s, tax authority’s or another calculator’s result.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost investment opportunities, lost profits or loss of locally stored data arising from use of or inability to use the service. An investment decision remains your decision; a displayed estimate is not an undertaking to make good a financial shortfall.
These limitations do not apply where the law prohibits them. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot be excluded, or limits other non-excludable consumer or statutory rights. If your jurisdiction does not allow a particular disclaimer or limitation, it applies only to the extent the law permits.
11. Questions, complaints and legal rights
If a problem arises, email websiteaftersales@gmail.com with a clear description, relevant dates and the outcome you are seeking. For calculation issues, include a reproducible scenario rather than financial account credentials. We may need clarification to investigate.
Contacting support does not prevent you from exercising a legal right or contacting a regulator. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, waive a right to bring a claim, or select an exclusive court. Applicable law determines the rights and forum available in a particular dispute, including mandatory consumer protections where relevant.
If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue only so far as they can operate lawfully and fairly. A failure to enforce a condition on one occasion does not automatically waive it for every later occasion.
12. Updates to these terms
The update date above identifies this version. Revised terms will be posted on this page; material changes will receive additional notice where required. Changes do not retroactively remove rights or obligations that applicable law protects. If a change requires express agreement, simply publishing it is not a substitute for that agreement.
Review this page when you return after a significant service change. If you do not agree with updated conditions, stop using the service; you can keep exports you already lawfully created. For these terms, accessibility issues or general support, use our contact page or email websiteaftersales@gmail.com.
